Boyana Aleksova is an award-winning Bulgarian artist who works between Kyustendil, Bulgaria and Birmingham, UK.

Her interdisciplinary practice often uses a variety of artistic processes including socially engaging performance, writing, new ways of painting, traditional lithography and filmmaking. The main concepts within her work are those of environmental issues, eco-activism, and collaborative practice.

 

Aleksova obtained a Masters in Fine Art in 2021 from the School of Art, Birmingham City University where she also successfully graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Art in 2019. Her work has been shown internationally with works acquired in private collections.
